I joined Cotswold Family Dentistry after moving back to Charlotte from Charleston, SC. I was born in Mexico and raised in Utah where I lived for 30 years, surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I bring 26 years of experience in dentistry to our practice, and I’m very passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. My goal as an office manager for Cotswold Family Dentistry is to assure our patients have a positive experience in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. Working at Cotswold Family Dentistry gives me the opportunity to be surrounded by professionals with different backgrounds but with the same purpose in mind, which is to serve our patients in the best possible way.
I love learning about new cultures, seeing new places and making new friends. I enjoy a trip to Ashville as much as a trip to the beach!
I am Sandy, a Chapel Hill grad, a hygienist with more than 20 years experience, and a proud member of Cotswold Family Dentistry. I’m a native Charlottian and 100% southern to the core! During your visit, you will be warmly greeted with a friendly smile while being entertained with funny stories and, oh yes, useful advise to make your smile even better, brighter, and healthier.
I have a deep passion for my profession and enjoy helping each patient with individualized care obtain maximum health. My leisurely activities include hiking, fossil hunting and walks with my Belgian Shepherd.
I am originally from a small SC town, Gaffney- where our claim to fame is the big peach water tower on I-85! I moved to Charlotte in 1987 and attended Central Piedmont Community College to study dental hygiene. I love Charlotte’s skyline, and there is always something to keep you busy.
Dentistry has seen so many changes and growth. I love the technology, which helps the patient stay comfortable, and receive the best treatment. The continuing education that my license requires helps me to stay current with the ever-changing growth of dentistry.
I divide my free time between Charlotte and SC. I love travel, roller skating, trying to be an HGTV personality, and living a spirit filled life. I am fortunate to have great adventures with genuine friends and am blessed to be happy!
I graduated from dental hygiene school in 1997. I went to hygiene school as a married mother of a toddler son. I chose this career to have a profession that offered a way to work with and care for people while having a flexible schedule as a working mother. I enjoy offering professional care while building personal relationships with our patients. My goal is to put patients at ease to ensure a positive dental experience, and I am honored to rejoin Cotswold Family Dentistry!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 35 years, our adult son, and our fur babies. Our home is always open to family and friends. I enjoy long walks, good books, and the beach is my “happy place”.
I graduated from Central Piedmont Community College Dental Assisting program and have worked within the general dentistry field for over twenty years as a certified dental assistant. I enjoy the one on one contact with patients to help them feel at ease with their dental treatment and to help them feel great about their smiles! I feel grateful to work at Cotswold Family Dentistry where they put patient “CARE” first.
I have two beautiful boys, Logan and Gavin. Outside the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Enjoying Carolina Panther football games, movies and gardening.
By nature I am a caring and understanding person, so getting into the dental field was just second nature. My career started very young at 14, now I have over 20 years of experience in the dental field. Starting at such a young age helped ground me into the woman I am today.
I have two handsome sons, and a beautiful wife. I was born in New Jersey, and raised in Maryland. I have been in North Carolina since 2012. We love traveling, family time and having fun.
I have worked in the dental field for over thirty years with experience in both General Dentistry and Orthodontics. After graduating from A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis where I was born, raised and still reside, I attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College where I received training to become a National Board Certified Dental Assistant. Here at Cotswold Family Dentistry I work as a Doctor Patient Coordinator in the front office, as well as, a Dental Assistant when needed.
I love helping others with not only their smiles but, fears and uncertainties. As a child I had many fears of visiting the dentist, so I know that feeling you get at just the thought of a visit! Knowing that you are at a place that provides not only exceptional dental care but also compassion for everyone that comes into this practice gives me a great deal of comfort. How thankful and fortunate I am to be working with employers and coworkers that I place my full trust in their opinions and quality of care.
Outside of the office I love to collect Barbie's, spend time where there is water and really enjoy going to my High School Alma Mater football games to gather with old friends!
I grew up in the eastern NC, but I have called Charlotte my home for over 30 years. I always had this need to nurture people, so dentistry fits me! It is so important that patients know our top focus is their care and comfort. I came to Cotswold Family Dentistry over 20 years ago as a Certified Dental Assistant and later transitioned to working at the front desk. I retired about 8 years ago, but when Mackie asked if I would job share with her, I thought it was a great idea. I get to work again with these wonderful people that I love and respect, and I am thrilled to see so many familiar patient faces!
My faith and my family are important to me and my work schedule still affords me the time that I need for both. Our home seems to be the gathering place for family events and I love that. I have a heart for the elderly and serve on our church’s outreach for widows. I find my time with these sweet ladies so rewarding and I am still learning from their years of wisdom. I enjoy watching my birds and walking. Our rescue lab Luke, makes sure that I get my daily exercise. I love spending time at the beach with my family. It is truly my “happy place”. I am grateful that my husband Rick, loves it as much as I do.
