I developed a passion for helping others at an early age and knew that the healthcare field was the direction I would take after high school. After high school I completed the Medical Assisting program at Central Piedmont Community College. Through the years I realized how vitally important proper healthcare management is in the overall accounting, patient and employee experience. I decided to continue my education and graduated from Pfeiffer University with a Bachelor of Science degree in HealthCare Management. I have been with Cotswold Family Dentistry since March 2003. Leading others and guiding them in exceptional patient care is very important to me. I value the mission and vision Drs. Bailey & Patel have for our patients and employees. I truly feel blessed everyday to call this place home!
I spend my time outside the office with my husband, Jody and our son, Jacob. Family is very important to us and we are fortunate to have our family close by. When not working I enjoy reading, baking and spending time enjoying nature with my family.
I have worked in the dental field for over thirty years with experience in both General Dentistry and Orthodontics. After graduating from A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis where I was born, raised and still reside, I attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College where I received training to become a National Board Certified Dental Assistant. Here at Cotswold Family Dentistry I work as a Doctor Patient Coordinator in the front office, as well as, a Dental Assistant when needed.
I love helping others with not only their smiles but, fears and uncertainties. As a child I had many fears of visiting the dentist, so I know that feeling you get at just the thought of a visit! Knowing that you are at a place that provides not only exceptional dental care but also compassion for everyone that comes into this practice gives me a great deal of comfort. How thankful and fortunate I am to be working with employers and coworkers that I place my full trust in their opinions and quality of care.
Outside of the office I love to collect Barbie's, spend time where there is water and really enjoy going to my High School Alma Mater football games to gather with old friends!
I became interested in becoming a dental hygienist when I was in high school. In my free afternoons and during the summer I started working in a local dental practice. Sometimes I assisted the dentist, other times I assisted the front office. It was a great experience and I knew that continuing my education within the dental field was what I wanted to do. Upon graduating high school in 1972 I entered the dental hygiene program at Central Piedmont Community College. I started working as a dental hygienist for Cotswold Family Dentistry in 1998. In 2005, after working as a dental hygienist for thirty one years, I moved to the front office and became the hygiene patient coordinator.
I have been married for over thirty years, together we have one grown son who lives in Raleigh, one dog and one cat. Outside of work, I love to design jewelry, scrapbook and make cards.
I grew up in the southern suburbs of Chicago, where I worked as a dental assistant for five years before moving to Charlotte in 1993. I attended Central Piedmont Community College Dental Hygiene Program, graduating in 1998. I aspire to provide thorough, but gentle care to patients, while educating them about the importance of oral health. I was committed to finding a practice that shared that aspiration and I definitely found that at this practice. I have worked for Cotswold Family Dentistry since August 2000. Our patients are like family to us and our care reflects it.
When not at work, I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with family. I have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
I'm Stephanie and I'm so happy to introduce myself as one the newest members of the Cotswold Family Dentistry team. As a native of small town Alabama, I'm also one of the newest transplants to the great city of Charlotte. My dental career began in 2007 when I graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene. My favorite aspects of Dentistry are the "cool" science behind it and the fact that there are always new things for me to learn. When it comes to patient care, I really take pleasure in guiding patients with overcoming any dental anxieties they may have.
When I'm not in someone's mouth, I LOVE traveling, listening to live music of any genre and pretending to be a foodie.
I have been passionate about taking care of others for as long as I can remember. I went to UNC-Wilmington and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology, thinking that would be the best field to help others. As I worked in the mental health field, I realized it was not for me. As I revisited my passion for others, I thought about other ways I could help people. I realized I have always had a love for dentistry since I was little, when I fell off the monkey bars and my dentist saved my teeth. I decided I wanted to help educate people about oral health. So, I went back to school for Dental Hygiene, and it was the best choice I ever made.
I graduated in May of 2016 from Central Piedmont Community College. I feel fortunate to be part of such an inspiring group of professionals at Cotswold Family Dentistry who truly care about the well being of every single patient.
In my spare time, I like spending time in nature with my family, doing yoga, decorating and enjoying the many activities that Charlotte has to offer.
Sherri graduated from Central Piedmont Community College Dental Assisting program and has worked within the general dentistry field for over twenty years as a certified dental assistant. She enjoys the one on one contact with patients to help them feel at ease with their dental treatment and to help them feel great about their smiles! I feel grateful to work at Cotswold Family Dentistry where they put patient “CARE” first.
I have two beautiful boys, Logan and Gavin. Outside the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Enjoying Carolina Panther football games, movies and gardening.
